At the November 4, 2023 Special Town Ballot Vote, Whitman voters approved the override to provide funds for the new Whitman Middle School Building. 

At the February 28, 2023 WMSBC meeting the committee voted to approve the OPM to submit the Preferred Schematic Report to the MSBA. The  Preferred Schematic Report is a summary of the process and conclusions of the preliminary and final evaluation of alternatives that substantiate and document the District’s selection and recommendation of a preferred solution.

At the January 24, 2023 WMSBC meeting the committee voted to select design Option 9b (5-8) New Construction (w/Auditorium) 3-Story as the preferred option to move forward with into the Schematic Design phase of the project.
